Book Review: The Land of Stories Series The Wishing Spell

While being stuck at home my parents said they wanted me to read more so they got me the first book from The Land of Stories series called The Wishing Spell. I didn't know what to expect since I haven't read a book yet that has been as good as Harry Potter. My mom says Harry Potter ruined me, I start a new book and then don't finish it because it doesn't interest me the way Harry Potter did. Well, this one did! Here is what I think.

What book reviewers say: “In The Land of Stories, The Wishing Spell, Colfer showcases his talent for crafting fancifully imaginative plots and multidimensional characters.

What I say: I LOVE THIS BOOK!!!! The Wishing Spell is such an amazing book! Thank goodness it is a part of a series because I want more! It is a spine chilling tale of two kids who are twins traveling into a land that is full of fairytales. I love that the author combines Disney fairytales such as Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Rapunzel, etc. with the traditional ones like from Mother Goose. So, why do the kids travel to this land? You'll have to read the book to find out, but I promise you, you won't be disappointed! Colfer's imagination is great for children who love fantasy, fairytales, and fiction. Fantasy is one of my absolute favorite genres. My recommended age for this series is about 8+ years old. Parents, if you know that your child likes fairytales, fiction or fantasy, (make sure to ask them first if you don't know) then this book series is perfect for your child. Make sure to comment, like, and subscribe. Bye for now!
